Richard Lai

Richard Lai is a graduate of the University of Auckland, New Zealand, from which he received his Bachelor of Architecture in 1984. In 1988 he became a member of the New Zealand Institute of Architects and in 2006 a member of the Ontario Association of Architects. He has been with Teeple Architects Inc. since 2005.

Richard has over 20 years of architectural experience working in New Zealand and the United Kingdom and has worked in Canada since 2001. Richard’s expertise includes both design and management in a variety of building types and scales including residential, institutional, educational, commercial, healthcare and cultural projects.

Richard has been involved as project architect in the firm on several projects including: The Portrait Gallery of Canada, Ottawa; The Jane-Dundas Branch of the Toronto Public Library; 60 Richmond Street East Housing Co-operative Housing, Toronto; and M5V Condominiums, Toronto.
